Lmao, I'm really not good at Photoshop. Anyways.
Ok, so I have to warn you. The general sound is pretty 70s/dadrock/classic rock-esque. I thought if such a pairing as Jon/Rahm had a sound, it would be pretty dadrock-y because, well, I don't know. That's how I feel it. I don’t know if there's a lot of Bruce Springsteen fans here, but just take a look at those lyrics and try to tell me that this mix is not totally Jon/Rahm.
Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Barstool Blues (POV Rahm)
The inebriated encounter in some dimly lit bar.
I have seen you in the movies
And in those magazines at night
I saw you on the barstool when
You held that glass so tight.
And I saw you in my nightmares
But I'll see you in my dreams
And I might live a thousand years
Before I know what that means.
Janis Joplin - Get It While You Can (POV Rahm)
The inebriated decision.
In this world, if you read the papers, lord,
You know everybody's fighting on with each other.
You got no one you can count on, baby,
Not even your own brother.
So if someone comes along,
He's gonna give you some love and affection
I'd say get it while you can, yeah!
Honey, get it while you can,
Hey, hey, get it while you can,
Don't you turn your back on love, no, no!
Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-IV) (Both)
From his troubled past, Jon Stewart keeps a nice collection of records that are better listened to in an altered state of consciousness. Most of which can double as excellent sources of make-out music. Lyrics completely irrelevant and blissfully ignored.
Bruce Springsteen - Cover me (POV Rahm)
It's a pretty nice day on Earth when you discover a Springsteen song about bottoming.
The times are tough now, just getting tougher
This old world is rough, it's just getting rougher
Cover me, come on baby, cover me
Well I'm looking for a lover who will come on in and cover me
Promise me baby you won't let them find us
Hold me in your arms, let's let our love blind us
Cover me, shut the door and cover me
Well I'm looking for a lover who will come on in and cover me
Patti Smith - Because the Night (Both)
They're both overworked and over-stressed. They could really use a weekly escape from reality and this surreal affair proves to be the perfect shelter.
Come on now, try and understand
The way I feel when I'm in your hands
Take my hand come undercover
They can't hurt you now
Can't hurt you now
Can't hurt you now
Because the night belongs to lovers
Because the night belongs to lust
Because the night belongs to lovers
Because the night belongs to us
Bob Dylan - Political World (POV Rahm)
Rahm likes politics, make no mistakes, but sometimes he wishes he could burn Washington down to the fucking ground.
We live in a political world
Under the microscope,
You can travel anywhere and hang yourself there
You always got more than enough rope.
We live in a political world
Turning and a'thrashing about,
As soon as you're awake, you're trained to take
What looks like the easy way out.
Manic Street Preachers - If You Tolerate This Your Children Will be Next (POV Jon)
That's not because he sleeps with Rahm Emanuel that he's going to cut the man any slack. That would be unpatriotic. There's an opportunity there and he's gonna seize it. A CoS who doesn't find his pants won't say no to an in-depth discussion about social policies with distinguished critic Jon Stewart.
And if you tolerate this
Then your children will be next
And if you tolerate this
Then your children will be next
Will be next
Will be next
Will be next
Bon Jovi - Good Guys Don't Alway Wear White (POV Rahm)
Jon Stewart is both a good lay and an annoying fuck.
You say you don't like my kind
A better picture in your mind
No it don't matter what I say
I hear ya bitchin' when I walk away
I'll never be what you want me to be
You tell me I'm wrong but I disagree
I ain't got no apology
Just because I don't look like you, talk like you, think like you.
Judge and jury, a hangman's noose;
I see them in your eyes...
Good guys don't always wear white
Good guys don't always wear white
Nirvana - Son of a Gun (POV Rahm)
The guy has a point sometimes. Once in a while. Not often.
Up, up, up and down
Turn, turn, turn around
Round, round, roundabout and over again
Gun, gun, son of a gun
You are the only one
That makes any difference to what I say
Jimmy Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower (Both)
Anyway, Rahm certainly won't let a clown like Stewart influence his policies. The guy makes funny faces on TV, for fuck's sake. Let's get serious.
"There must be some kind of way out of here," said the joker to the thief,
"There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.
Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth,
None of them along the line know what any of it is worth."
"No reason to get excited," the thief, he kindly spoke,
"There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke.
But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate,
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late."
Heart - Allies (Both)
Senior White House officials are puzzled. Jon Stewart has always been a shrewd motherfucker, but he's grown practically prescient in the last few months. And what's up with Rahm, where are the corny jokes gone? Morning meetings have turned into brilliantly crafted stand-up routines with pie charts and complimentary bagels.
In troubled times
It's hard to get straight answers
Between the lines
That border wrong or right
The homeland cries
It struggles with confusion
But this feelin' still remains
Like shelter from the rain
We live on faith
In the hands of those who guide us
And tear the page
On the fear we left behind
We set the pace
For every born survivor
Don't turn the other way
When I need to hear you say
Allies with our backs against the wall
I will answer when you call
And take on the odds
For what we believe is true
Allies in a world of too much choice
I only need your voice
To tell me you care
I'll be anywhere for you, allies
U2 - Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses (Temple Bar Edit) (Both)
Falling in love while getting dumped: a great Stewart classic for the ages.
You're dangerous 'cause you're honest
You're dangerous, you don't know what you want
Well you left my heart empty as a vacant lot
For any spirit to haunt
You're an accident waiting to happen
You're a piece of glass left there on the beach
Well you tell me things I know you're not supposed to
Then you leave me just out of reach
Who's gonna ride your wild horses
Who's gonna drown in your blue sea
Who's gonna ride your wild horses
Who's gonna fall at the foot of thee
